enjoying doing very little … almost

Hi
It’s great being on holidays here at the Nepean Country Club, near Rosebud on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria.
We’re not exactly the sporty types so to date, apart from a nice swim in the heated pool, we haven’t exactly taken up the options of tennis, squash, gym, water aerobics or golf. The great thing is that we have 11 more days!
Because of its location in the middle of nowhere (well, not really) we either have to drive to get ‘somewhere’ OR just ‘veg’ out … which we’re doing plenty of!
What have we done (apart from much sleeping, relaxing & reading)?

* checked out Cape Schanck lighthouse – stunning views & stunning winds
* enjoyed “The Sapphires” – one of the most touching movies we’ve ever scene
* watched the second NRL prelim final “live” (yes!!) on GEM
* enjoyed a lovely drive down the coast road on eastern shores of Port Philip Bay from Mornington to Sorrento
* delighting in the quaint, coloured iconic beach huts at the various beaches
* returned the Budget hire vehicle after 1 day – aircon faulty!
* enjoyed the beautiful countryside around here

That’ll do for now. Plenty more to see & do but for now, we’re just enjoying going for once at our own pace. Gee, it’s nice!

Wednesday morning we head into Melbourne CBD for the Frontier Services/AIM 100th birthday celebration, where I’ll be involved with Ted Egan in the leading of my ‘Cross this land tonight’ song.

Shalom,
David
